Wellington Zhaotai Therapies Ltd receives award for CAR T

The 2025 Chinese Business Awards Gala, hosted by the New Zealand Chinese Business Club and the New Zealand Chinese Business Federation, was held on 22 November at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand.

At the prestigious event, Wellington Zhaotai Therapies Limited's New Zealand CAR T project received the Special Achievement Award, recognising its success in bringing together leading biopharmaceutical scientists from China and New Zealand to jointly advance a next-generation immunotherapy drug.

The project’s breakthrough CAR T-cell therapy is hoped to enter New Zealand’s public health system following the completion of clinical trials, offering new hope to cancer patients seeking cutting-edge treatment options. The award underscores the project’s scientific significance, cross-border innovation, and growing influence within the global cell therapy landscape.
